  1. Jack in the Pulpit Vase
    Jack in the Pulpit Vases, or known as JIPs for short, were originally made during the late 19th and very early 20th centuries. They were produced both in the U.S. and some countries abroad; particularly Europe and the Czech Republic. Modern producers run the gamit from the U.S., Italy, Czech Republic, and others. Shown is circa 1890


The Evans Company produced many items when they were in business. Cigarette cases, ladie's compacts, lighters, and smoking accessories are the most notable of their products. They had a wide range of lighters and were constantly introducing improvements and new styles. Those pictured to the right were produced during the 1940s and 1950s, in a beautiful and quality enamelled finish, An assortment of colors and shapes were to be had. The pineapple and egg shapes were inspired by the creations made for the Russian Czar families of the late 1800s and early 1900s by Peter Carl Faberge. They were known as 'The Imperial Eggs'. The Curiosity Shoppe has numerous examples of the Evans smoking accessories!
  1. The Evans Company produced these smoking accessories during the 1940s and 1950s. Evans is most noted for these items and a wide range of lighters that were produced both pre and post this time. They also made ladies compacts with a guilloche' pattern finished with a quality enamel finish. The Curiosity Shoppe has numerous examples as well as other tobacianna!


The Curiosity Shoppe has 6 lighted showcases that display a collection of unique glassware, Art Glass, Tobacianna, Castor Sets, Oil Lamps, Elegant Depression Glass, Candlesticks and Candleholders, Tobacianna. There are wall displays of cruets, vintage kitchen wares, and salt & pepper shakers. We also have antique and vintage lighting, as well as Eastlake furniture and wall mirrors & vanities.
